JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary tasks would include, but are not limited to:

• CAD drafting of boundary, topographic and engineering design surveys, subdivision plats, construction layout surveys.
• Survey computations and data processing.
• Use written and oral communication skills to convey work results to staff and clients.
• Meet project plans and schedules.
• CAD drafting from 3D Laser Scanner (HD) survey data (will train for this).
• Analyze and compile survey information using AutoCAD.
• Communicate field crews.
• Communicate with staff in remote offices via email, instant messenger and telephone.

This position reports to the Vice-President for Survey Operations.

This position may be based in Palm Beach Gardens or Tallahassee, FL.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certified Survey Technician (CST) Level II or higher. Non-certified applicants will be expected to gain certification within the first six months of employment.
• Full knowledge of Coordinate Geometry.
• Able to use technology to effectively communicate with a distributed work team.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Able to compile and produce complex drawings and maps using AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Organizational Skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on work requirements and deadlines.
• U.S. Citizen.
