The real estate recession of 2007 caused significant price pressure on home builders. Minto Communities, LLC a leading home builder in the Southeast Florida market needed to achieve significant improvements in operational efficiency to reduce operating costs.

Approach

GlobalMind partnered with Minto to examine the processes surrounding subdivision platting, surveying for infrastructure construction and surveying for home construction. Our project management experts redesigned work flows to meet the operational objectives of lower cost and improved efficiency.

Results

The changes resulted in a 20-percent reduction is subdivision and construction surveying costs. The new work processes provide greater accountability and more reliable operations. The initial implementation on Minto’s Palm Beach County projects has been expanded to their St. Lucie County projects as well.
